Welcome to Origin Lane ("we," "us," "our"), accessible at https://www.originlane.com.co/ (the "Site"). The Site connects specialty coffee roasters ("Roasters") with micro-lot coffee farms and cooperatives in Colombia ("Farms") to facilitate the discovery, sampling, and purchase of green coffee lots.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Description of Service

Origin Lane operates an online marketplace that:

Lists micro-lot coffees sourced from Colombian farms and cooperatives
Enables Roasters to browse, sample, and purchase green coffee directly or through us as an intermediary
Facilitates communication, order placement, and (where applicable) logistics/customs coordination between Roasters and Farms

Depending on the specific transaction, Origin Lane may act either (a) as the seller of record, purchasing and reselling coffee lots directly to the Roaster, or (b) as an intermediary marketplace facilitating a direct transaction between a Roaster and a Farm. The applicable role for a given order will be indicated at the time of sale. Origin Lane's obligations, and the responsible party for order fulfillment, quality issues, and related matters, may vary accordingly.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Site.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account or placing an order.

3. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated and are subject to change without notice until an order is confirmed.
Payment terms and methods (typically an international or domestic bank transfer, though this may vary depending on the specific negotiation between the parties) will be specified at the time of the order. By placing an order, you agree to the payment terms communicated for that transaction.
Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Micro-lot coffee is a limited, harvest-dependent product; we reserve the right to cancel or adjust orders if a lot sells out or becomes unavailable, with a full refund for any amount already paid.
Additional costs — including but not limited to import duties, customs fees, taxes, and freight — may apply to international orders and are the responsibility of the Roaster/buyer unless explicitly stated otherwise.

4. Shipping, Customs, and Import Compliance

Coffee is shipped from Colombia and may be subject to export regulations in Colombia and import regulations (including phytosanitary/agricultural requirements) in the destination country.
Buyers are responsible for ensuring they are legally permitted to import green coffee into their country and for any import permits or licenses required.
Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed and may be affected by customs processing, carrier delays, or events beyond our control.
Risk of loss and title for products pass to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

5. Product Descriptions and Quality

We strive to accurately describe each micro-lot (origin, varietal, processing method, cupping notes, altitude, etc.) based on information provided by Farms, but agricultural products vary naturally by harvest and we do not guarantee that every bag will be identical to sample lots.
Any quality claims, cupping scores, or certifications (e.g., organic, Rainforest Alliance) are provided by the Farm/cooperative, and we do not independently verify every certification unless stated otherwise.

6. Roaster and Farm Conduct

Users agree not to:

Circumvent the platform to conduct transactions off-platform in order to avoid fees (if applicable to your business model)
Provide false information about products, certifications, or origin
Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, including violating export/import controls or sanctions laws
Infringe the intellectual property rights of Origin Lane, Farms, or other users

7. Claims and Refunds

Claims for damaged, defective, or mis-shipped orders must be reported to us at contact@originlane.com.co within 3 days of delivery, along with supporting evidence (e.g., photographs).
Because green coffee is a perishable, harvest-specific agricultural product typically shipped in small volumes, we do not offer a fixed refund policy. Each claim will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any resolution (replacement, partial refund, full refund, or other remedy) will be determined at our discretion based on the circumstances of the specific order.
Claims submitted after the 3-day window may not be eligible for review.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs of farms and lots, and the Site design — is owned by Origin Lane or its licensors (including Farms who supply photos/descriptions) and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or use this content without permission.

9. Third-Party Services

The Site may link to or integrate third-party services (payment processors, shipping carriers, analytics providers). We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS OR AS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Origin Lane SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE RELEVANT ORDER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Origin Lane, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Colombia.
